Yi-shan Lee

Biography

Yi-Shan Lee, was born in 1985 in Taipei (Taiwan). She studied Applied Media Arts at the Department of Radio & Television at the National Taiwan University of Arts. She won Best Film Editing Award at The 49th Golden Bell Awards. Director, scriptwriter, independent producer and also lecturer at various universities, she is currently working on her projects of feature films and documentaries. Her work often focuses on how women should live their lives in patriarchal societies. Her short film Babes’ Not Alone was selected at Rotterdam IFF and screened in Paris during Les Rencontres du Cinéma Taïwanais.
