Vuokko Kunttu

Biography

Vuokko Kunttu graduated from the University of Central Lancashiren with BA (Hons) in Audio Visual Media and Management.Virva and Vuokko Kunttu wrote and directed their first fiction short film “Milk” which won the main prize at the Helsinki Short Film Festival 2013. “Milk”was also featured in YLE Uusi Kino and at several national and international film festivals.Their latest short documentary “Star Shaped Scar” won the Jussi Prize for the Best Short Film in 2018, was viewed almost 400 000 times at Yle Areena and won Best Short Film at Helsinki International Film Festival. “Star Shaped Scar” will have it’s international premiere at Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival in April 2019.
