Thiago Valente

Biography

Thiago Valente is a cinema and theatre director who graduated from CAL (Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras) and at the Darcy Ribeiro Film School. He wrote and directed five short films: Cariocas, Exercicio I, Irmaos de sangue, Mao na luva and the most recent Laura which won the ‘Best short fiction prize’ in the Grande Premio do Cinema Brasileiro award in 2013. He is currently working on two documentaries: Meu lugar de origem and MEU LUGAR DE ORIGEM et BETH CARVALHO – SO O AMOR ME ENSINA ONDE VOU CHEGAR.
