Rémi Allier

Biography

Born in 1988 in Mâcon (France), Rémi Allier is a young French writer and director.After studying film editing in Paris, he enters the IAD, a film school in Belgium (Louvain-la-Neuve). In 2012, he co-directs and co-write with Pablo Munoz Gomez a first short film : “Jan”, screened in many festivals, mostly in Belgium and France.The following year, Rémi directs “Zinneke”, his graduation film, which leads a good festival life around the world and has been awarded several times, after a world premiere in Locarno.He now lives in Brussels where he mostly works, then in France. His last short film “The Little Hands”, was premiered at the Telluride Film Festival 2017, in US, and was awarded by a Cesar for Best Short Film on february 2019. He is currently working on his first feature film. He focuses his work on youth and the world of childhood.
