Regina Pessoa

Biography

Regina Pessoa was born in Coimbra (Portugal) in 1969. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto in 1998, and then directed and animated her first independent film “The Night”. In 2005 she directed “Tragic story with happy ending” and in 2012 “Kali the little Vampire”. In all this films she have used different engraving techniques, from plaster to computer or as she like to say: “from stone to Pixel”. Her films have since gone on winning innumerous prizes around the world and are in the Portuguese National Cinema Plan, being studied by children and young people in Schools in Portugal.
