Merijn Scholte Albers

Biography

Merijn Scholte Albers and Tobias Smeets both graduated from the Utrecht University of the Arts with their film Schoolfest, which has also been awarded three times at the Eindhoven Film Festival. They collaborated by co-writing the script and then Tobias went behind the camera while Merijn directed the actors. They subsequently made the Klokkijken music video together and the short film The Girl from the Gasstation, which won the Best Short Film Award at the Netherlands Online Film Festival. Furthermore, they directed various items for MTV Gamekings (Netherlands). Gratis is their latest short film.
