Biography

Magnu´s Leifsson is a director from Reykjavi´k, Iceland. Magnu´s, originally a graphic designer, got into filmmaking when working as a scriptwriter for a comedy show in Iceland. Later he started directing music videos and during the recent years he has been Iceland’s most active music video director, working with internationally known artists like Of Monsters And Men, O´lafur Arnalds and Vi´kingur O´lafsson.Azer gaining widespread attention with his music videos, Magnu´s got into directing commercials when he signed with Republik Film Production in Iceland, with whom he has since worked on numerous projects. “Dovetail” is his debut short film and won Short Film of The Year at the Iceland Film Awards in February 2019.
