Jonas Odell

Biography

No wonder that Jonas Odell belongs to the top 100 animators ever, according to the English tv channel Channel 4. This Swede, cofounder with Stig Bergqvist and Lars Ohlson of the animation studio Film Tecknarna in 1981, had already a long list of awards to his credit before Tussilago. Never like the first time won the Golden Bear award at the Berlinale (2006), while Lies won the award for best international short film in Sundance (2009). His subtle work, combining different animation techniques 2D and 3D, convinced Madonna, U2, Franz Ferdinand and Goldfrapp to work with him.
