Erez Tadmor

Biography

Born in Israel in 1974, Erez Tadmor is a writer and director from Tel-Aviv, Israel. He graduated from Camera Obscurs Film School in Tel-Aviv. His first short, Moosh, won over 40 international film festivals awards including:”World Fest” in Houston, Palm Springs and many more. His short film Strangers (with Guy Nattiv), a 7 minutes drama for 20th Century Fox Searchlight won the online short competition at Sundance Film Festival in 2004. It also went to Berlin Film Festival competition. Another short that he made (also with Nattiv), Offside, won the Best Short Film Award in Manhattan International Short Film Festival in 2006. His first feature film Strangers (with Guy Nattiv again), based on the short, was accepted to Sundance World Cinema Dramatic Competition in 2007. A Matter of Size his second feature movie, co-directed with Sharon Maymon, dealt about the coming out of the closet of fat people and about their ability to accept their fatness and relate to their body through the world of sumo. A Matter of Size won the Audience Award at Karlovy Vary IFF in 2009, and also the Grand Prix & Special Jury Award at Alpe d’Huez International Comedy Film Festival. In 2014, he directed Magic Men. Guy Nattiv, the leading actor of the film, won the Ophir Award for Best Actor. In 2015, he directed Wounded Land that won the Ophir Awards for Best Director and Best Actor.
