Biography

Heartbreak IFTA 2017 for the Best Short Film (Ireland)   Dave Tynan is a writer/director from Dublin. He attended the National Film School at the Institute of Art Design and Technology (IADT). In 2012 his short Just Saying was viewed over 250,000 times in the first week of it going online. It has since been seen over 450,000 times. In 2013, he won the Kinsale Shark for Most Promising Irish Director. Rockmount has won six awards including the 2015 IFTA for Best Short Film that was presented the same year at Les Nuits en Or. His next short The Cherishing is part of the Irish Film Board’s centenary scheme “After ’16” and will be on this festival circuit in 2016. He also works in commercials and has a number of feature projects in development. He has recently completed his first feature film, Dublin Oldschool.
