Christos Massalas

Biography

Born in1986 in Greece, Christos Massalas is graduated from the London Film School. His short films have received prizes and have been screened in many international film festivals, including Locarno, Tampere, BFI, São Paulo, Thessaloniki and Riga. In 2012, at Clermont Ferrand Film Festival, he participated in the European Short Film Co-production Forum: Euro Connection. In 2016, he was selected among 25 young directors from around the world to take part in the Filmmaker Academy of the 69th Locarno Film Festival. Christos Massalas is currently based in Athens, where he is developing his debut feature. His short film Copa-Loca (2017) was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival.
