Alice Guimarães

Biography

Alice Guimarães studied Digital Arts at the Portuguese Catholic University. She has always been attracted by the world of animation and has been working in the field of advertising and film animation for over a decade. With Mónica Santos, she co-directed two short-films, in pixilation and stop-motion: ‘Amélia & Duarte’ and ‘Entre Sombras’. The films won several awards, both nationally and internationally, including the Sophia Award for best Portuguese Animation Short film in 2015 and 2019. ‘Entre Sombras’, a French co-production, was also nominated at the César awards in 2019.
