Synopsis

Set during the kaleidoscopic backdrop of the biggest kite-flying festival in India, Amdavad Ma Famous, witnesses the transformation of 11-year-old Zaid, from a lanky boy next door to an aggressive and passionate kite-runner, an unlikely leader of the pack, till he comes across a challenge that threatens to keep him away from the one thing he loves!The whimsical nature of the kite flying festival, the kind of madness that grips the city of Ahmedabad, across age and class and Zaid’s personal transformation gives a glimpse of a very unique India; and also brings with it an exploration of both, childhood curiosity and adult hypocrisy.
