Among the actors and actresses who made the cinema of the year, who are those who will make the cinema of tomorrow?
In order to make it easier for the members of the Academy to vote, the Revelations Committee chooses each year several young actresses and actors, who they consider to be particularly remarkable: the Revelations.
To highlight them, and through them all the young actors of French cinema, the Academy organizes the Revelations Project.
The 2020 Revelations
The Revelations Committee
The Revelations Committee, in collaboration with the Academy's Board of Directors, proposes, for information purposes, a list of young actors and actresses chosen from among all the performers in French film production released in theatres in 2019, in order to draw the Academy's members' attention to these young performers.
Under the chairmanship of Dominique Segall, this committee is made up of 11 casting directors active in French film production as well as 3 personalities from the world of cinema. It is validated each year by the Academy's Bureau.
The evening
Organised every year, in partnership with CHANEL, the Revelations Evening took place on Monday, January 13, 2020, at the Petit Palais. During this evening, each Revelation was accompanied by an illustrious sponsor whom he or she had chosen. The Revelations Project was also unveiled, as part of a photo exhibition and the presentation of the film.
