10th César Ceremony

The César are ten years old

For the first time, a comedy wins the César for Best Film: "Les Ripoux", by Claude Zidi. A César of the César is awarded to "Le vieux fusil", by Robert Enrico. A tribute is paid to François Truffaut, who passed away last year. Bernard Giraudeau, Pierre Tchernia, Darry Cowl, Richard Berry, Guy Marchand, Jean Poiret, Léon Zitrone, Jeanne Moreau, Gina Lollobrigida and Kirk Douglas take turns hosting the evening.
