3rd César Ceremony

The celebration of a cinema in crisis

The president of the Academy, Robert Enrico, sounded the alarm at the opening ceremony to ensure that cinema, as an art form, is entitled to cultural aid and is supported in the face of the rise of television. The ceremony evolves in its audiovisual staging, the proclamation of the laureates is now accompanied by a film excerpt and the voice over of Pierre Tchernia. Jean-Pierre Aumont, Victor Lanoux and Roger Pierre are the three Hosts of Ceremony.
